2011 started out for us in Barwon Heads Victoria which is a small coastal town past Geelong and 21 kms from Queenscliff where Alex and I happened to tie the knot only 16 years ago. We spent new years as guests of our good friends the Sampsons (together with their good friends) close to their Beach House in Barwon Heads. Jules, Sambo, Sophie and Emma really looked after us and made us feel at home and it was good fun to discover the area for the first time. It was a very relaxing few days with a mixture of fishing (Jack caught a good sized Whiting) and swimming (though the water in the surf was bitterly cold but the kids did not seem to mind). The Sampsons are great old friends from Singapore and we really appreciated spending time with them both at their beautiful Yarra Valley home and at their Barwon Heads get-a-way where we saw in 2011. Thank you Sambo, Jules, Sophie & Emma!
Hope family blog
As a new year started (2011) I thought it was timely to experiment with a family blog as a way of keeping in touch with family and friends where ever you may be around the globe. Hopefully in some small way it will make the distance seem a little shorter then it really is!
